Galway news City recycling centre reopens from Monday

The Galway City recycling centre will reopening from next Monday, April 26 as the next wave of restrictions’ easing begins.

The recycling centre at the Civic Amenity Site in Liosbain has been closed since Ireland went back into Level 5.

Next Monday it will reopen again, with signage continuing to emphasise the one-way system and social distancing measures in place.

The initial reduced opening hours will be:

  • Monday – Thursday: 1.30pm to 3.45pm
  • Friday: 1.30pm to 3.00pm

People are advised that this is a self-service facility open to residents of Galway City and no commercial use is permitted.

To reduce the time spent at the facility, please ensure that you pre-sort all items and please refer to the Galway City Council website for a list of items that are accepted and conditions of use at the facility.
