A man charged who is charged with multiple counts of historic indecent assault is facing trial at Galway Circuit Court.
The 50 year old man, who cannot be named, has been charged with four counts of alleged indecent assault on the same person in 1985.
The Director of Public Prosecutions has directed that the case should be tried on indictment.
Bail was granted at Galway District Court with strict conditions that he surrender his passport, have no contact with the alleged injured party, and sign on once at week at a garda station.
The case was adjourned to April 7 for the service of a book of evidence on the accused.
