Bank of Ireland will be closing three branches in Galway County as part of the major range of closures announced this morning.
The BOI branches in Oughterard, Dunmore, and Ballygar will be closed as part of the shuttering of 88 branches across the state.

Most of the banks closing in Ireland are among those which were temporarily shut down due to the pandemic.
The closures come after BOI experienced net losses of €742 million in 2020.
In a statement this morning, executive Francesca McDonagh said that COVID-19 has also accelerated the shift towards online banking.
BOI is reportedly working on a deal with An Post to allow local banking services to be accessed through post offices.
