Residents of the Kilkerrin and Moylough areas in Galway County are without water today due to an issue with the quality of the water supply.
There has been a deterioration of the raw water quality of the Kilkerrin/Moylough Public Supply Scheme Galway County Council has said.
Homes and businesses on the public supply scheme and in surrounding areas, including Group Water Schemes, are currently without water as a result.
The County Council and Irish Water are currently monitoring the situation.
An update with more information is expected from the council later today.
