There have been 2 additional deaths related to coronavirus reported by the Department of Health today, along with 264 new COVID-19 cases.
Out of today’s cases there are 5 reported in Galway. The 14-day incidence rate in the county is now 53.5 cases per 100,000 population, with 138 cases in the past two weeks.
The highest number of cases today is in Dublin (79), followed by Donegal (24), which still has the highest incidence rate in the country, Kerry (19), Limerick (18), and Kildare (14).
There have now been a total of 2,126 deaths in the coronavirus pandemic, and 76,449 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state.
As of 2pm today there are 215 people in hospital with COVID-19 in Ireland, of whom 33 are in Intensive Care.
