The Department of Health has reported 313 new cases of Covid-19 and three further deaths related to the disease.
Of the new cases reported today, fourteen are in Galway, while 70 are in Dublin, 31 in Mayo, 21 in Kilkenny, 19 in Donegal and 18 in Laois.
67% are under 45 years of age and the median age is 35 years old.
The situation at Galway’s hospitals remains steady, with six people in total at UHG and Portiuncula.
There has now been a total of 75,507 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Republic of Ireland.
As of 2pm today, there are 197 people with Covid-19 in hospitals, of which 35 are in ICU. There have been 12 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
