The Department of Health has reported 318 new cases of Covid-19 and one further death related to the disease.
Nine of the 318 new cases are in Galway today, while 126 are in Dublin, 45 in Cork, 28 in Limerick, 21 in Donegal and 18 in Kildare.
73% of the overall new cases today are under 45 years of age and the median age is just 28 years old.
As of 2pm today there are 282 people with COVID-19 in hospitals in the State, of which 31 are in ICU. There were 17 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
The latest data available for Galway shows there are four people at UHG with the disease, and 0 at Portiuncula. There are no people in ICU with Covid in Galway.
