2020 has just become a whole lot sweeter for one lucky Euromillions player in Galway after scooping Friday night’s top prize of €500,000 in the Euromillions Plus draw.
There was only one winner of the half a million euro jackpot and the winning ticket was sold in Galway.
The numbers drawn were: 8, 9, 11, 13 and 35.
There were no winners of the main Euromillions jackpot of €130 million but one Irish player was just two numbers away from winning the big prize after matching 5 numbers, worth €41,894.
In total, over 89,000 players in Ireland won prizes.
