The Dáil has been adjourned until further notice and the Cabinet must self-isolate from today, the Ceann Comhairle has announced.

The decision came this afternoon after Health Minister Stephen Donnelly contacted his doctor for a Covid test as he began to feel unwell.

The Ceann Comhairle said that because of ‘very serious information arising out of events today’, the Cabinet must now self isolate.

Minister Eamon Ryan had already been ‘restricting his movements’ because a member of his household was awaiting a test for Covid-19.
