Galway Daily news Water outages in Moycullen

Homes and businesses in Loughrea and Craughwell will experience water outages next week due works taking place on the local network.

Civil Engineers Shareridge Ltd are carrying out water main connection works on behalf of Galway County Council and Irish Water next Tuesday and Wednesday.

These works are part of a €13.8 million investment in the Tuam Regional Water Supply Scheme upgrade, which is due to be completed next year.

The more extensive disruptions will be in Craughwell, where people will be without water from 9am to 4pm on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

These planned outages are to allow for water main connection works at the Seefin Water Treatment Plant.

In Loughrea, an outage is scheduled for homes and businesses on Barrack Street, Fahy Gardens and customers of the scheme in East Loughrea to Seefin from midnight Tuesday to 6am Wednesday.

This is to facilitate water main connection works at the Knockanima Water Treatment Plant.

In all instances, people are advised that it may take 2 -3 hours after these works have been completed before their full water supply returns.
