The weather forecast for this week is quite mixed – and the week has started off with outbreaks of rain and drizzle which will persist across the West today, particularly along the coast.
The rest of today will be humid with hill and coastal fog, and the highest temperatures will be between 16 and 19 degrees – coolest along coastal areas.
Tonight will be very mild and humid with patchy rain and drizzle, especially later tonight. It will also be misty with hill and coastal fog.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) will see scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle – again, heaviest along the coast. It will be drier away from the coast – apart from some patchy drizzle.
It might also seem quite warm where sunshine develops, and it will be another humid day with hill and coastal fog.
Highest temperatures tomorrow will range from 17 to 19 degrees.
Wednesday will be dry with a mix of cloud and some sunny spells – just isolated showers. It will be fresher in moderate, occasionally fresh northwest winds.
Temperatures in the afternoon will be between 15 and 18 degrees, mildest in the southeast.
It will be chilly overnight with lowest temperatures between 5 and 9 degrees.
On Thursday, most areas will be dry once again with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. It will be cooler though, with highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees Celsius.
Friday, Connacht will start off wet with rainfall extending to other areas during the day, though turning scattered.
Highest temperatures will range from 15 to 18 degrees.
The early indications are that this weekend will be nicer.
