Water outages in Loughrea and Craughwell due to burst mains

Homes and businesses in Loughrea and Craughwell may be experiencing water outages today due a burst water mains pipe in Loughrea.

A burst water main on Bride Street, Louhgrea is disrupting water supplies to both towns and surrounding areas today Irish Water has said.

Repair works are underway, but an estimated time of completion has not been given.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.

Water outages are also occurring in Kinvara until this evening due to road rehabilitation works taking place in the area.

Fox Contractors are carrying out works in relation to the road rehabilitation project today Galway County Council has said.

Homes and businesses in Ballyclery, Toreen East, Toreen West (Tarrea), Pollagh and Mulroog East, Mulroog West and parts of Mulroog North have had their water supply disrupted due to the works.

The outages will continue until approximately 6pm this evening.
