Galway Daily news More than 200 bikes stolen in Galway last year

Cyclists across Galway have been urged to take part in a challenge to cycle 200km in ten days to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

Due to Covid-19, the All Ireland Cycle will replace this year’s Pink Ribbon Tour – which is held annually with cyclists from all over the world taking part.

The committee has organised the cycle for ten years, and they say they are still inspired by family and friends who have battled with breast cancer.

The All Ireland Cycle will start on 28 August and finish on 6 September and it is €25 to register. Each participant will receive a commemorative cycle neck snood after the event.

They will also receive a link to the event’s JustGiving page to help raise additional funds by sharing your cycling success with family or friends.

The National Breast Cancer Research Institute is a national charity which funds a research programme at the Lambe Institute at NUI Galway.

So will Galway be the first All Ireland Cycle champions? Let’s make it happen!
