Galway University Hospitals reminded the public today that all inpatient and day cases remain cancelled at the hospital apart from urgent, time critical procedures.
Outpatient clinics are also currently cancelled with a very limited number of exceptions.
Patients whose procedures or appointments are going ahead are being contacted directly by telephone and advised to attend.
The chest x-ray walk-in services on both hospital sites (UHG and Merlin Park University Hospital) are currently suspended, as are referrals from GPs for plain film imaging and ultrasound.
“We would like to thank the public for their cooperation,” they said, in a statement earlier today.
