Galway GAA has continued its shutdown of all club activity into the month of April, and said that its suspension is being extended “for the foreseeable future”.
The suspension by Galway GAA due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic extends to all club activity at both the adult and juvenile.
This includes all Hurling Championship games scheduled for the month of April as well as all other Training Session and League games.
“Updates on the resumption of activity and the possible restructuring of some competitions will be notified in due course and will be done in consultation with the Clubs.
“Both the Management and County Committee Meetings scheduled for later this month are also postponed,” said county secretary Séamus Ó Gráda.
“Again I wish to stress the crucial importance of all players, team personnel and officials adhering strictly to HSE guidelines in relation to social distancing and other aspect of the current Covid-19 pandemic.”
“Thanks to everybody for their combined efforts to date and Stay Safe, Stay Strong, Stay Connected, and Stay Positive”.
The GAA immediately suspended all club activity in a joint decision with An Cumann CamógaÃochta and the LGFA on March 12.
