Galway Daily business Galway hair stylists nominated for best hair salon in Ireland

The Galway based Yourells hair stylists group, the product of two local businesswomen, has been nominated once again for Best Hair Salon in Ireland.

Now in business for 15 years, Yourells has grown to have three hair salon locations in Galway. Their main outlet in Eyre Square, as well as additional spots in Moycullen and Oranmore.

Founded by businesswomen Carol Dixon and Anna Hosty, their company has grown from starting with five employees, to having a staff of 30 across the three locations.

They specialise in precision cuts that hold over time and are easily managed at home, as well as bespoke hair colours that complement their clients features.

Yourells are now once again shortlisted for Best Hair Salon in Ireland at the Image Business Of Beauty Awards for 2020 having won this prize before.

“I want people to always know what they are getting. I want them to have confidence in their recommendations to others,” said Carol Dixon of their strategy.

“The systems and processes of how a business runs are the details that every successful business will work off.”

“With this in place at all locations you always know what you are going to get. A professional service but with a warmth that is really nurtured through all our team.”

Yourells Hair Group is based in Galway and yet 30% of their business comes from elsewhere around Ireland.

“We have people travelling to us at all our locations because as we all know when you find your colourist or stylist, you trust them and know that they understand what you want whilst also being able to guide you in a direction that can really transform your entire appearance.”

“The best thing about what we do is, making women feel good about themselves and watching our junior team progress through the ranks as they train,” Anna reveals.

Training and upskilling staff is the backbone of their business Anna says, adding that it’s what keeps them ahead of the game.

“Our industry is fun and creative, training doesn’t feel like work. Bringing the younger girls up through the ranks and watching them grow and mature is a pleasure and privilege,” Anne concluded.
