Traffic disruptions are expected in Oranmore from tomorrow, Monday as four weeks of roadworks get underway on the N18 Dual Carriageway.

Roadworks will be taking place between the Carrowmesh Roundabout at the Maldron Hotel and the Oranbeg Roundabout in Oranmore.

The works are expected to last for four weeks in total and during that time one lane will be closed on the stretch of road in question.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works and motorists should be wary of traffic delays if travelling in Oranmore in the coming weeks.

“Due to a clash with other works in the area, the roadworks on the N18 Dual Carriageway Between the Carrowmonesh Roundabout at the Maldron Hotel and the Oranbeg Roundabout, have been rescheduled to start on the 11th of November for approximately 4 weeks.

“During this time one lane of the dual carriageway will be closed to traffic while the other lane will operate as normal,” a spokesperson for the county council said.
