Galway Daily weather Weather warning for heavy rain in Galway tonight

A status yellow weather warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for Galway and much of Ireland for the next day.

Met Eireann has issued a weather warning covering all of Munster and Connacht, along with Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Wexford, Offaly and Westmeath.

The rainfall warning will come into effect at 11pm on Sunday and remain in place throughout Monday until midnight.

“Heavy rainfall expected during the period with some heavy bursts occuring in short intervals of time. There is potential for flooding,” the warning states.

A small craft warning has also been issued by Met Eireann with winds expected to reach force 6 or higher tonight on coasts from Carnsore Point to Valentia to Erris Head.
