Irish soccer legends Brian Kerr and Kevin Kilbane will be hitting the pub in Galway early next month for the Coca Cola Premier League Roadshow.

The two pundits will be with An Púcán on October 6 talking all things football and previewing the premier league match up of the day between Manchester United and Newcastle United.

This is the only time the roadshow will be stopping in Galway after kicking off next Monday, and where better to drop in then An Púcán which was last year named the best pub in Ireland to watch sports at the Irish Pubs Global Awards.

Kevin Kilbane has won 110 caps while playing for Ireland, the third most capped of any player in the Republic’s history after Robbie Keane and Shay Given.

He has also played for English clubs Everton, West Bromwich Albion, Coventry City and Sunderland before retiring from professional football in 2012.

Since then he has worked as a pundit for RTÉ Sport, Match Of The Day, BBC Radio 5 Live and Newstalk. The Dancing on Ice Star is probably best known as one of Mayo GAA’s most vocal fans.

Brian Kerr is considered one of the sharpest football minds that this country has ever produced.

From 1997 he was manager of the Irish Youth sides from ages 16 – 20 where he led teams to great success in the World Youth Championships.

A number of the young players he mentored as youth manager would go on to win full international caps such as Richard Dunne, John O’Shea, and Robbie Keane. Kerr followed that with a run as Senior Manager from 2003 to 2005.

As a commentator he is known for his vivid and often hilarious descriptions of what is happening on the field, using his highly creative Dublin slang and impeccable memory to entertain fans.

Coca Cola, sponsors of the Premier League this year, are holding five roadshows around Ireland, starting at Lavery’s Bar in Belfast next Monday.
