A status yellow weather warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for Galway and the west of Ireland.
The weather warning from Met Eireann states: “Rain will turn heavy and persistent on Friday and Friday night bringing the risk of localised flooding.”
“Rainfall totals of 30-50mm are expected during the period, higher in mountainous areas.”
The warning covers all of Connacht, Donegal, Clare, Kerry, Cork, and Limerick.
It will come into effect at 6am on Friday and remain in place overnight until 6am on Saturday.
