Galway has been revealed as one of the least lucky counties for Euromillions players in Ireland.
Out of the twenty-six counties, Galway ranked 21st on a new list which looks at the total number of Euromillions wins and thier cash value in each county, comparing them with the population.
Since the first Euromillions draw in 2004, there have been twenty-seven top prize wins in Galway.
Just five other counties have had more Euromillions winners, meaning Galway is perhaps not as unlucky as its ranking would suggest.
However, the reason Galway sits at number 21 on the list is because the prize money has been relatively low for winners in the county.
The prize money in Galway totals €8,735,973, which is considerably less than many other parts of the Republic.
The total amount of top prize wins in Co. Mayo, with a population roughly half of that of Galway, was €51,089,670, meaning the county is regarded the second luckiest in the country, just behind Louth.
Limerick came third in the ranking, with €134,540,404 in prize money among 34 winners including Dolores McNamara.
The least lucky counties were Laois, Roscommon and Cavan with under 30 million shared between just 14 winners in between the three counties.
The figures ignored counties in the North, where Frances and Patrick Connolly from Co. Down won £115m ( €128m) in the New Year’s Day draw this year.
