Traffic near Loughrea will be affected by two days of roadworks taking place next week.
Galway county council has ordered a two day closure of the LP 4300 road at Mullagh, Loughrea to allow roadworks to take place.
Lagan Asphalt have been contracted by the county council to carry out road resurfacing overlay works in the area.
Work will take place over Wednesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 6 of next week.
“In order to facilitate these works, the section of the LP 4300 in question will be temporally closed to through traffic between the hours of 9:30 am & 7pm,” a spokesperson for the county council said.
“As a consequence users of this road are requested to expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys.’’
