Galway County Council is offering free recycling of any and all electronic waste in Gort on Saturday.
The council’s annual free WEEE collection will take place at the Gort Co-Operative Livestock Mart where people can drop off their electronic waste for free.
From 10am – to 4pm, anything with a plug or a battery is fair game.

A number of free collections have been organised by WEEE Ireland and the county council throughout Galway in recent weeks.
Another collection at Oughterard last Saturday resulted in 26 tonnes of waste being dropped off, and 22 tonnes was gathered at a collection in Casla before that.

There will be one final collection on Saturday, May 4 at Supervalu in Loughrea from 10am to 4pm after this.
