While it’s great to see so many of the most iconic spots in Galway resonate so much with visitors, for some people it can be more than a little annoying.

Kylemore Abbey has become such a tourist hotspot, what with its beautiful Victorian architecture sitting on a serene lakeshore, that the Benedictine nuns are building themselves a new monastery on the grounds just to get some peace.

Most of the spots on this list are reserved for places that are famous the world over, Eyre square, Shop Street, the Claddagh and of course the Aran Islands.

But one of the top spots is reserved for the Galway Races, the only event to make the list, going to show what a massive draw for visitors to Galway the Races are, with numbers going up each year.

This list was compiled by the Maldron using the main hashtags associated with each spot.
