Our U8 & U10 girls took part in a blitz during festival week which was thoroughly enjoyed by all! Well done to all who took part and thank you to all who helped out on the day with serving refreshments and supplying the lovely home home baked treats.
Visiting teams were Killererin, Kilkerrin/Clonberne, Glenamaddy /Williamstown. Many thanks to all of you for travelling to take part.
Well done to the U12 girls and management on their Shield final victory over Moycullen, on Saturday, with a score line of 6-9 to 2-8. Many thanks to all who turned out to support the girls and to welcome them home in Dunmore to celebrate their victory.
It was a big weekend for these girls as on Sunday, they went on to play at half time in the Galway V Mayo Senior Ladies game in Hyde Park. Well done girls!
Congratulations also to our U16 ladies and management team on winning the Dympna Burke memorial Cup on Sunday. Many thanks to visiting team Corofin, Tuam/Cortoon & Annaghdown for a great day of football.
Thanks also to all of the parents who helped out on the day and to those who supplied refreshments. Thank you to Dympnas relations who travelled form far and wide to be with us on the day and help celebrate in this great day of football.
A special word of to both the Soccer club and the Rugby club who allowed us to use their facilities for the running of the tournament and to our First Aider for giving her time on the day. It is very much appreciated.
Well done to Lauren Diskin and Sarah Conneally and the Galway team on their victory over Mayo in the Senior Ladies Football quarter finals on Sunday 5-11 to 0-12 and best of luck in the semi-finals on Saturday 25th August against Dublin.
Cash for clobber collection continues at the dressing rooms. Please leave bags of unwanted clothes at the dressing rooms to raise funds for the ladies club. (no duvets please)

COROFIN GAA
ALL-IRELAND CHAMPIONSHIP
Galway senior footballers bowed out of the All-Ireland Championship following their 2-12 to 1-24 defeat by Dublin in the semi-final on Saturday.
We thank our Club players involved, namely Ian Burke, Kieran Molloy and Bernard Power, as well as selector Brian Silke, for their commitment with the team all year. We congratulate Ian on his selection on the GAA Team of the Week, the only Galway player selected.
Well done to Galway minors who had a 3-13 to 2-9 win over Meath in the All-Ireland semi-final on Saturday. Galway put in an excellent second half display, helped by a great goal from Tony Gill.
Well done also to Matthew Cooley, Conor Halbard and Rob Carr for their involvement. Galway will now play Kerry in the final on 2nd September.
We send best wishes to the Galway hurlers, and particularly Daithí and Ronan Burke, who play Limerick in the All-Ireland final on Sunday.
WEEKEND WINS
We defeated Salthill-Knocknacarra in the league, division 1, by 1-13 to 1-9, played on Friday evening in The Priarie, Salthill. The Corofin goal was scored by Conor Newell in the first half.
We defeated Caltra in the Junior A Championship North – Group A, by 5-15 to 0-5, also played on Friday in Caltra Pitch.
We defeated Caherlistrane in the Junior Championship North – Group B, by 2-21 to 1-7, played on Sunday in Corofin. The Corofin goals were scored by Justin Burke and Alan Molloy.
We defeated St Brendan’s, Ballygar in the Junior C Championship North – Group A, by 5-15 to 0-9, also played on Sunday in Corofin.
Well done to all the players and mentors with the four teams who all achieved victory at the weekend.
FIXTURES
Two of our Junior teams return to action at the weekend.
We play Tuam Stars in the Junior Championship North – Group B at 7.30 pm on Friday evening in Tuam Stars pitch.
We play Killererin in the Junior A Championship North – Group A at 6.00 pm on Saturday evening in Corofin .
Our seniors are scheduled to return to action in the Championship when they play An Cheathrú Rua on the weekend of 25 / 26 August.
