The Galway Rose is today hitting the road to Tralee as she wishes the Galway Hurlers all the best for Sunday, in the All Ireland Hurling Final.
Galway are set to take on Limerick in the All Ireland Hurling Final this coming Sunday in Croke Park and while Deirdre will be enjoying her journey in Tralee she will be hoping that the Galway Hurlers can retain the Liam McCarthy Cup for another year.

The International Rose of Tralee Festival is set to begin this Friday the 17th of August and will continue until Tuesday the 21st of August.
Deirdre O’ Sullivan, the 2018 Galway Rose is today making her journey on the road to Tralee.
The 24 year old from Corrandulla was chosen as the Galway Rose on the 19th of May with Croí, (a charity located in Galway working to prevent heart disease and stroke), being her sponsor on the night.
Deirdre spent all her summers when younger in Tralee as her Grandparents lived in Denny Street and she always felt the Festival was the highlight of the summer.
Already this year Deirdre has accomplished so much as the Galway Rose, she spent a fortnight volunteering in Ghana, and she has attended many events throughout Galway.
Deirdre attended the Galway Races, just over a week ago with many of the other Roses attending the Races on Ladies Day.
Deirdre will have plenty of support with her on the road to Tralee and whilst in the Dome also. The under-13 football team of Caherlistrane will be travelling to Tralee on the 18th of August to compete in the Rose of Tralee International Festival Cup Blitz.
Monday the 20th of August and Tuesday 21st are the nights the Roses will be live on television.
