Galway minor full forward Donal O’Shea has been nominated for this week’s Electric Ireland Player of the Week after his performance in the All-Ireland semi-final against Dublin in Croke Park (Saturday, 29th July).
The Tribesmen kept their championship defence on track with a comfortable 3-22 to 0-16 victory over the Metropolitans thanks to goals from Dean Reilly, Niall Collins and Adam Brett.

O’Shea, son of former Tipperary manager Eamon, was the man of the match scoring 12 points over the hour to ensure Galway took their place against Kilkenny in the final. That followed a combined tally of 1-15 he scored in the group games against Limerick and the Noresiders.
Kilkenny’s Ciaran Brennan and Tipperary’s Mikey O’Shea are the others nominated and supporters can vote by just going to the Electric Ireland facebook page and leaving a comment with the emoji beside their favoured player. In O’Shea’s case, you need to ‘love’ the post.
