Galway’s Ladies Football captain Tracey Leonard was happy to get the job done in their opening Group Three fixture in the All-Ireland round-robin series.
First half goals for Leanne Coen, Roisin Leonard and Ailbhe Davoren ensured the Tribeswomen added to their Connacht championship win over Mayo. They’ll face Westmeath in their second group game the following Saturday.
The result ensures Galway a quarter-final meeting with Dublin or Mayo on August 12th. Leonard, who was also player of the match, chatted to Galway Daily afterwards.
Galway meet Westmeath in the 2018 All-Ireland senior ladies football championship on Saturday, 28th July. Throw-in at Duggan Park, Ballinasloe is 2pm.
