Met Éireann have said that there should be no rain for at least another ten days, as this unusual period of settled weather continues.

Temperatures at the weekend could hit  30 degrees in Dublin, and will be in their mid-twenties in Galway.

And it looks like the sunshine and warm weather will stick around, with high pressure continuing to dominate our weather pattern well into next week.

Tomorrow will be cooler and cloudier for most parts of the country, with temperatures rising again on Friday.

High pressure is expected to build again over Ireland this weekend, bringing warm and mostly sunny conditions on Saturday, with any early mist patches clearing rapidly.

There will be a little more in the way of patchy cloud over north Connacht on Saturday afternoon, but most other areas will be dry with long sunny periods.

And Sunday will see some cloudy patches in Ulster, but Connacht should stay warm with periods of brilliant sunshine.
