Galway City Council has given notice that Middle Street will close for one hour each day for ten days in July.
The closure is being made to facilitate a Galway International Arts Festival Street Theatre event outside An Taibhdhearc.
The road will be closed from junction of Cross Street Lower to Abbeygate Street Lower.
The closure will be in force from Thursday 12th July to Sunday 22nd July from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
It will also close from 1.00pm to 2.00pm for Matinee Performance on Saturday, 14 July and Sunday, 22 July.
Alternative routes for traffic will be via signposted diversion routes.
An alternative route is available via Flood Street, Cross Street, Bridge Street and Market Street.
The City Council says local access and exit from Middle Street past An Taibhdhearc will be maintained at all times. Advance diversion signage will be in place prior to work commencing
