Bailey Allen Auditorium - Day 2

Day 2 of MojoFest kicked off a little after 9am this morning with a packed house in attendance, looking forward to full-filled informative day.

With Day 2 of MojoFest beginning a little after 9am this morning, President of National University College, Galway, was one of the first people to take to the podium as he welcomed everyone to the event.

President Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh first remarked on the great weather that has filled Galway the last few days before speaking of his delight that the MojoFest was taking place in the college.

“Firstly I am delighted that the weather is good for this MojoFestival and I hope we have a good summer. I am delighted to welcome you all and thank you for joining us here in NUI Galway.

“This event in collaboration with RTÉ is so important for us here on campus as we see ourselves in an international context.

With Mojofest being fully international with people from all over the world in attendance in NUI Galway this morning, NUI President compared that with the college itself and how it is also an international base.

“Galway has about 80,000 people not necessarily from Galway. It is a diverse city a creative place and we are very lucky to have such creative places like Druid, Macnas, Bábaró.

“Theatre and Creativity arts is something which Galway is good at.

“We are pleased to work with others and collaborate in order to make the world a better place.”

Ciarán Ó hOgartaigh signed, off by once again welcoming everyone to the college for this three day festival.
