A man in his 20s has died following a car crash in the west of Ireland early this morning.
GardaĆ are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Drimina, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, 26th October 2024.
The single-vehicle collision, involving a car, occurred at approximately 3.45am on the R294.
The driver of the car, a man (20s), was fatally injured.
The local coroner has been notified and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.
The road is currently being examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and remains closed with local diversions in place.
GardaĆ are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 2am and 4am are asked to make this footage available to investigating GardaĆ.
